Game 3: Madison Blaze @ Minnesota Vixen

The Madison Blaze continue to prove that they are an unstoppable force as they traveled to the Minnesota Vixen. A special thanks goes out to Dave’s South Bay Lounge, GL Rehabilitation Services, Nextgen Construction, Dutch’s Auto Service and Damage Control Inc. for their support of the Madison Blaze!
Val Vechinski threw for 74 yards on five completed passes which includes two touchdowns! Brenda Seggerman kept the momentum going for the Blaze as she punted for 204 yards on six kicks for a 34 yard per punt average. However, the Blaze defense was the key to their success in Minnesota. Tiffany Lein led the team with 10 tackles, a fumble recovery, and two interceptions including one pick that she ran back for 30 yards for a touchdown! Kara Haines continued the defensive success with six interceptions to run the ball back for 56 yards for a touchdown. Brenda Seggerman also had an interception to add to her five tackles. Lisa Hochschild forced a Vixen fumble. Pam Close and Amy Leatherberry both made six tackles to stop the Vixen in their tracks. Rookie Heather Loomis added two solo special teams tackles including one touchdown saving tackle thereby allowing the Blaze to win the game 26-0.
